Class Rule

Be respectful of others in the classroom. This means respect specifically of others’ speech, space, time, and property.

Notebook

You are required to keep a notebook (3-ring binder). The notebook will consist of 4 sections:

  1. Class information sheets
  2. Question of the Day
  3. Daily Notes
  4. Classwork/Homework

Your notebook will be checked periodically and should be kept neatly organized in chronological order within the proper sections.

Question of the Day: Most class periods will begin with a warm-up question. You should copy the problem and show your work.  Keep organized in chronological order.

Daily Notes: You will be expected to take notes in class and keep the notes organized for easy reference.

Classwork/Homework: Classwork will be assigned most days. You will work on these assignments in class if time allows, and if you have not finished at the end of class, then finish for homework.

Tests and Quizzes

Tests will be given at the end of several sections or at the end of a chapter and will always be announced. Quizzes will be given periodically and may or may not be announced.

Make-Up Work

If you miss any assignments, tests, or quizzes due to excused absences, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed and make it up within three school days. If they are not made up, a grade of zero will be given.
